Animals get drunk too.
The favourite tipple in the animal kingdom is fermented fruit. Birds and mammals, in particular, gorge themselves on everything from apples and elderberries, to the exotic marula fruit in Africa. Once inside the animal's stomach, however, the fruit continues to ferment - with often spectacular results.
